Your Eurovision is an online music contest. It was founded in April 2013. The first edition started on the 1st of May in 2013. Glenn, also known as mopje18, was the founder of the contest and the first executive supervisor of Your Eurovision. In a very short time, Your Eurovision has turned out into one of the most watched online contests on YouTube. As of 2020, over 80 countries have taken part.
In April 2015, it was announced that Your Eurovision would stop the original format. Your Eurovision got a new name, Your Eurovision Song Contest, and was planned to be organized once a year. These annual editions would take place in November with a maximum of 46 participating countries. The first such edition (2015) was also the last. Due to disagreements with YouTube, the contest was cancelled indefinitely.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, the contest announced its return with a new executive supervisor Nicholas Jones-Walterson, the previous head of delegation for Sweden at the competition. The contest would happen twice a year from this point on and the first edition saw 48 countries participating.
Back in April 2013, the person behind YouTube channel 'Mopje18' ('Your Eurovision Channel'), Glenn, wanted to create something that could bridge the period of time without Eurovision on TV. So, on the 1st of May 2013, channel Mopje18 started a new online music contest called 'Your Eurovision'. Glenn wanted to make this contest different from other online contests by creating great designs. The goal of this contest is to create a Eurovision feeling that lasts a whole year.
The first edition took place in the country of origin, Belgium, in the largest city of Flanders, Antwerp. The first winner of Your Eurovision was the host country Belgium, represented by Natalia and her song 'Boom'. Later on in December 2013, this song was chosen as the best Your Eurovision song of 2013.
The programme was first known as the "Your Eurovision". This contest name was adopted by the organisers from the well-known Eurovision Song Contest. After the decision in April 2015 to stop organising several editions every year, the name changed to "Your Eurovision Song Contest".

Most of the expense of the contest is covered by the YEBU. The contest is considered to be a unique opportunity for promoting the host country as and local artists and music.
Preparations for the event start a matter of weeks after the host wins in the previous year, and confirms to the YEBU that they intend to—and have the capacity to—host the event.A host city is chosen—often a national or regional capital city—and a suitable concert venue is identified. The two largest concert venues were Parken in Copenhagen (which held approximately 38,000 people when Denmark hosted in Summer 2013) and the Amsterdam ArenA in Amsterdam(which held approximately 53,500 people when The Netherlands hosted in October 2013). The smallest town to have been hosts was Mariehamn in Winter 2015 and 2021.1. The town had a population of 11,000.
The hotel and press facilities in the vicinity are always a consideration when choosing a host city and venue.
The current generic logo was introduced for the Autumn 2014 edition in Australia, to create a consistent visual identity. The host country's flag appears in the heart of the generic logo. Each edition of the contest, the host country creates a sub-theme which is usually accompanied and expressed with a sub-logo and slogan. The theme and slogan are announced by the YEBU and the host country's national broadcaster.
During it's short history, Your Eurovision had four different official logos. The first one was used from May 2013 until December 2013. The second one was used during Winter, May and Summer in 2014. The third logo was based on the official Eurovision logo and was used from Autumn 2014. The logo was revamped for the rebooted series.
