South Africa at the Your Eurovision Song Contest

South Africa has participated in Your Eurovision 12 times since its debut in November 2013. The South African broadcaster, YE.ZA, has been the organiser of the South African entry ever since the country's debut in the contest and has used a national selection to select its entries. The majority of the entries have been sung in English and as of 2021.1, they have competed with songs in 4 out of the 11 official languages of the country. This, of course, excludes Brequette, a South African born Spanish singer, who opted to sing a song in Spanish instead.

In November 2013, South Africa's first entry at Your Eurovision, Nádine, finished twelfth in the final. The country's best result was with Brequette, who achieved seventh place in May 2014. Even though Your Eurovision was cancelled after the 2015 edition, the broadcaster already confirmed their participation in the never-to-be 2016.1 edition.

South Africa debuted in the rebooted series of Your Eurovision in Düsseldorf 2020.1, where they achieved their best placement ever with Yanga Sobetwa, Soweto Gospel Choir and Amanda Black, who finished 5th with 243 points.

The South African broadcaster became a permanent Reference Group member in 2020.1, but has rejected the automatic spot in the Grand Final since 2020.2. The broadcaster is also responsible for the creation of the Your Eurovision Second Chance Contest, which it hosted twice, in Johannesburg and Durban, respectively, winning both times.
