Your Eurovision Antwerp May 2013


The Your Eurovision Song Contest May 2013 was the pilot edition of the Your Eurovision Song Contest. 

 

The executive supervisor of the contest, Glenn van Gool announced: "After a very successful Eurovision season for the YouTube channel XAZ [previously known as MOPJE18], we've decided to start an online contest called 'Your Eurovision'."

 

It took place in Antwerp, Flanders, the Kingdom of Belgium. The semi finals were held on the 1st of May 2013, while the final took place 9 May 2013. Twenty-nine countries took part in the contest.

 

On the 9th of May, Belgium won the Grand Final with Natalia and her song 'Boom'.

The first edition of Your Eurovision took place in Antwerp, Belgium. The location for the event was the Sportpaleis, the biggest concert hall in Belgium and the second most visited concert hall in the world.

Format


In total, 29 countries took part for Your Eurovision May 2013.

 

28 of them had to qualify from one of the two semi-finals in order to take part in the Grand Final, together with the host country, Belgium. Ten countries qualified from each semi-final, therefore, in total, 21 countries competed in the Grand Final.
