Your Eurovision Amsterdam October 2013

The Your Eurovision Song Contest October 2013 was the 5th edition of the Your Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Amsterdam, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, following Within Temptation's victory in the September 2013 edition with the song "Shot In The Dark". It was announced during the meeting of the Head of Delegations in September 2013 that the dates for the two semi-finals would be 7 October 2013 and 14 October 2013, with the final planned for the evening of 21 October 2013.

46 countries took part during Your Eurovision Winter 2013, with Åland Islands, Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Finland, Japan, Lativa and Ukraine returning. Bermuda, Moldova and Monaco took part for the very first time. Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Hungary, Israel, Jamaica, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Taiwan withdrew from the competition.

In the end, The Netherlands won the contest with Lisa Lois and her song 'Silhouette'.

Location

After the winner's press conference, YE.NL announced that the October edition would take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in Amsterdam Arena.

Format

A total of 46 countries took part. A number of 22 countries participated in each Semi-Final with 12 of them qualifying for the Grand Final from each Semi-Final. The host country and the lucky country joined them in the Grand Final.

The official tagline for the contest was 'Live Your Dreams'.
