Your Eurovision Ljubljana Summer 2014


Your Eurovision Summer 2014 was the 10th edition of Your Eurovision. It took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, following Maja Keuc's victory in the May 2014 edition with the song "Close To You". It was announced during the meeting of the Head of Delegations in June 2014 that the dates for the two semi-finals were 12 July 2014 and 26 July 2014, with the final planned for the evening of 16 August 2014.

 

49 countries took part during Your Eurovision Summer 2014, with Belarus, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Ireland, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand and Taiwan returning. Armenia, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Malta, Serbia, South Korea and Vatican City withdrew from the competition.

 

In the end, Australia won  the contest for the first time, with Sia's song 'Chandelier'.

Location


After the winner's press conference, YE Slovenia announced that the Summer edition would take place in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, in the Stožice Arena.

Format


After the meeting of the Head of Delegations, it was announced that the maximum of 49 participants would not change for the Summer edition. A total of 49 countries took part. A number of 24 countries  participated in each Semi-Final, 12 of them qualified for the Grand Final in each Semi-Final. The host country joined them in the Grand Final.

 

The official tagline for the contest was 'Be Invincible'.
