Incidents

 South African entrant

On Friday, September 11th 2020, the South African broadcaster, "YE.ZA", announced that their initial entry "Toe Vind Ek Jou" sung by Margot Rothman had to be withdrawn due to the song being a cover of a song by Francois van Coke & Karen Zoid, released 5 years prior. The country announced third placed act Bernice West as their entrant and confirmed that Margot Rothman's song will be an interval act at the event.
