Your Eurovision Second Chance Contest 2020.1 was the pilot edition of the contest, that was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was the first time South Africa, as well as the continent of Africa, hosted a Your Eurovision event. Organised by the Your Eurovision Broadcasting Union (YEBU), and the host broadcaster "Your Eurovision South Africa - YE.ZA", the contest was held in the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, and consisted of a Grand Final on 16 August 2020. The show was presented by Trevor Noah, Thando Thabethe and Leah Van Niekerk.
All 11 countries debuted in this edition.

Eleven countries participated in the grand final, that aired on August 16 2020 at 21.00CEST. Twelve countries were eligible to participate in the contest, with Taiwan declining the invitation.
